Conspired by Sunshade

by Arunansu   Aug 3, 2007

Gloom descends
as an assorted cluster of gray
poisoned
the firmament's hue,
nodding heads of every tree
turns standstill and tense,
their prying leafage
only whispers and wonders
why an evil wind has abducted
the heaven's blue
-will the pelting begin?

Conspire of sunshade
and Nature's scowl
arrested the attention
of a resting peafowl
tired of searching for minnows
in a shallow stream.
Breathing an ardent whiff -
its train of metallic green
fans out; the iridescent eyes vibrate
in passionate vigor
and the bronze rings keep ringing
as it cautiously
takes a majestic stride.

Captivated by
its rhythmic grace
the murky vapors above
airdrops
billions of succulent globs
in aid of the sere surface.

The Earth bathes.
