What is it you want?

by nina   Aug 5, 2007

Theirs a girl
alone
she waits
in rain
in cold
shivering to the bone
longing for love
pushing away what she has
for fear of clinging
crowding
becoming hard to bare
painting nails on one hand
giving her sense of pride
a bit of herself shown to the world
for those who understand
the statement
meaning
of those five fingers
of that one hand
nothings
right
every things
wrong
half a heart
a body
a soul.
she hands you a gift
all she has to give
one white hand
polish on the nails
if you don't take it
and hold on tight
who else might
save her from the
harsh
still
cold
of death.

Cool poem. depressing, but good. keep up the good work, and be happy. i know, easier said than done.
