What you said was true,
So I need to apologize to you,
But on the other hand,
hold me one last time.
Let me show you, try to understand.

I need some time,
I need some space,
Need some room,
To get my feelings out of this place.

You and I are going to make the next step,
Friendship it is,
But from me, I know,
My feelings will always be kept.

I know I can never see you,
As just a normal friend,
Cause we were lovers,
Your fingers fit so well in the palm of my hand.

I guess that's what I'll miss.
but maybe, I don't know,
It's just some guess..
Maybe, our friendship will turn out into bliss.

    I thought me and my ex of two years would never be friends because we both hard so many feelings.
    but now we both date other people and hes my best friend i love it.
    there are other fishies in the sea you will find him:) promise promise!

    It was a wonderful poem Birgit ;) I think it flowed nicely, good job.

    ^^ That is true.. Lovers cannot be friends.. But some lovers can be friends.. but it's really hard..
