All The Pretty Horses

by abby   Aug 6, 2007

I stop sometimes
I like to reminisce about the good olâ?? days
I love the way things used to be
Sometimes when it gets hard
I just wish I wasnâ??t here
But then I remember why I am
I remember who taught me what
I remember who made me so humble
I just hold my tongue every day
I work through the pain
I work through the heat
I fall off and you are the reason that I am right back on
I get tired and you are that cool breeze that keeps me going on this farm
I use my head and keep up the knowledge of my horses
I keep everyone happy and healthy
I come in ever so often and challenge my mind
I make sure that I am horse smart and book smart
I know no summer
I know that light at the end of my tunnel
And I just keep running
And at the end of everyday
I sit in the sunset and stare out upon this land
And all I can think of is you
And all the pretty horses
