On Nights Like This

by Jamin Huchingson   Aug 8, 2007

On nights like this, I wish
Raindrops would fall
Somehow I could explain
Everything if you'd just call

So lost in this sea, I roam
I look so free but feel so alone
These waves toss my ship
I look in control but don't have a grip

On nights like this, I wish
Raindrops would fall
This pain I endure
With no chance of any cure
But still I stand tall
On nights like this I wish
I wish that raindrops would fall

Nothing left of a broken heart
It's been ripped apart
I put back most of the pieces
But this pain never deceases
From the pain of a break
When you spoke those words
I felt it begin, and start to sep-ar-ate

On nights like this I wish
Raindrops would fall
Though a man is crushed inside
I still stand tall
I wouldn't be so alone tonight
If I could get one wish on a night like this
And raindrops would fall
