Dear Mother (RIP)

Today i claim back whats mine
I'm not sure what it is
But i might have an idea
I want to return to the essence of my existence
The very true meaning of my being
If that exists, they i will eventually find the self i lost along the way
the self i thought died a long time ago

Thoughts of my late mothers teachings
make me realize that I'm not the Son she would be proud of
I'm not the son she raised
to be strong and focused
instead I'm weak and dependent
but from this day on
things are going to change

i will make her proud
i will make her realize the huge role she played in my life
i will make her rejoice with the angels in heaven
i will make her know that she raised a man
i will make her appreciate and understand that her teaching and efforts were not in vain
i will make her more beautiful since she will be glowing with happiness
i will make her praise GOD even more

for she was blessed like no one else
for she was strong like no one else
for she was the only mother i had
for she was the only thing in life that did not have flaws
for she was KG (Keneiloe Gladys)
for she was the embodiment of perfection
for the love she had for us
for the sweet gentle loving mother she was
for she was my mother

i loved her
i appreciated her
i respected her
i needed to be with her
i know she loved me
