My Sweet Child

by Cherri   Aug 12, 2007

As I watch you grow older,
It's less and less colder,
On my battered heart.

As I watch you sleep,
It makes my eyes weak,
At how beautiful you are.

As I watch you grow older,
It's less and less colder,
On my battered heart.

As I watch you walk,
And learn to talk,
Your voice stays with me.

As I hear you sing,
Making my ears ring,
Such an angels tone.

As I watch you grow older,
It's less and less colder,
On my battered heart.

As I hold you at night,
And turn off the light,
I know where I belong.
