She Needs Her Father

by Cherri   Aug 16, 2007

Lying in the bed next to me,
Loneliness surrounds my heart.
Our child is growing up without you,
Our child with a family fallen apart.

I wish you could see her,
Shikari's growing so fast.
Always asking where daddy is,
Asking about our past.

It hurts me to see her cry,
Because she misses you.
All I did was hold her and love her,
I wish there was more I could do.

This forgotten little child,
Gods blessing to the world.
I wish you would come back to her,
And hug your baby girl.
