Human Eyes

by Kitoura   Aug 13, 2007

The earth, or mother, our teacher,
Providing for us what we need.
Somehow we lost our way,
Our greed overtook us.
And now our mother weeps.

The trees, they cry out as they die,
But you, the mortals, the living,
You cannot here them.
Every night I lie awake,
And I listen to the land weep.

We're all greiving, lost and bleeding,
Human eyes, they cannot see our pain,
They cannot understand what they have done,
Causing so much hatred,
Leaving nothing alive.
