Jefferson Davis as an Unprotected Female

by Soulful Ensemble   Aug 13, 2007

Oh, yes, you're loving alright,
Thank you for your thoughtful insights.
You're like Don Quixote, you brave knight,
Battling your own thoughts in your own mind.
And here's the windmill, the beginning of your plight,
When you throw your spear at it, it doesn't want to fight.

You're glorious too, like Napoleon Bonaparte,
And you revolutionized the way to win a fight
By always being cruel when its time to say goodbye.
Yes, you're the protector of the Confederation of the Rhine,
And your false promises keep everyone in line.
But you will end up all alone in Saint Helena
With the cold rain and no umbrella.

You're a clown and a mime,
But how can you play both and be a riot?
You can only make so many laugh by being quiet.
You're a magician and a joker too,
But you cant distinguish the two.
You do your tricks and keep me delighted,
But you don't know if you should be excited
I could be laughing because you're so benighted.

What else are you, you marvelous human shelf?
You're Romeo and Juliet, too, isn't that correct?
So when you write your love letters, you make them to yourself
So that I can never hurt you because you hurt yourself
And you can talk about how much you love your new dress,
I already told you I don't care, madame, ask somebody else.

Oh and you're also Jesus Christ, you righteous man,
You know whats wrong and what is right.
And you knew Mary Magdalen when she was just fan,
But now you're all grown and you're a member of the band.
You told me that you loved me,
And about how much you cared,
But now you're gone, like everybody else.
So cheer up, its okay, we wouldn't have made it anyways,
You're a creature of the day, and i prefer the night.
