It didnt take long

by jasmine   Aug 14, 2007

I watched you from across the room
i hear the whispers between you
we have only been apart two days
and already the rumours have started
dirty looks and sly remarks
i thought no longer as i walked home that night
in the privacy of my room
i ponder a plan
i bid the walls to silence for all the secrets they have heard
this room is no longer mine
this body is no longer mine
it is that of a stranger - a hateful stranger
i see in that fatefull glass
why all my life i have been ridiculed
i know they laugh at me
im nothing without him
no longer shall it be
i take the sharpest kitchen knife
i plant it in my chest
it can rust there as i die
