AGONY OF AN ALIEN

I left my home, a land full of honey and milk ,

although, bombarded by poverty and hunger.

i found myself lost in a strange world of loneliness hatred, crime and fear with no identity.

am here in search of a better life

getting my daily bread is a difficult task.

i wake up daily with fear of being noticed and caught.

i only take what am given as choices are limited

i pretend to be what am not.

i smile outside and suffer inside.

i usually say yes to every thing even when i mean to say no

i live my life like a ninja

iam always on the run and leave no trace behind

i try to please everybody to find favour

my patience has known no bound

my heart skips at the sound of police siren

always scared of when i will be caught and taken back to my home

although, this is a strange land, but its full of opportunities

i love to stay and make a life for myself.

am on the look out because they say am an illegal allien
