I'm hurting right at this very moment
Knowing that it had to end
I still can feel the pain that we both felt
That very night we left each other
With nothing but a handshake
And the words...
"We can only be friends"
I know it has to be like this way
For we both have different issues
I guess our love
Was just too much for you to take into
But not for me, because even though
My life ain't right
When I was with you
Everything seemed to be doubly bright
Leaving each other has made me realize
That LOVE truly hurts
That word I never knew existed in me
Until it became you
You had the power for me to fall
I had soo much pride at first
But you took it all
Now there's no more nights of happiness
Just loneliness
These feelings I know won't ever fade
Promises we made all ruined and jaded
I really don't wanna start brand new
Because I built my whole life and meaning
Around you
Now as I sit here in solitude
I can never be happy again without you
