Beyond vanity

by Treshawna   Aug 15, 2007

I desired a beauty such as you
One that will not exhale vanity with every breath
Or cry tears that are hopeless or deceptive
A beauty as yourself to inflict certainty
In this fictitious world that we live in

I do desire a man
Who's eyes aren't transparent like glass
Or who lives beyond conceit
Appearance doesn't last for a life time-
As we grow old and gray
vanity soon fades and becomes dismay

The true beauty lays within our hearts
That allows us to love unconditionally
Love is the cure for vanity
because loving others as we love ourselves
is truly natural beauty.
