Tantalizing Phantom

by ryan   Apr 28, 2004

Just beyond my grasp you hover
A vision of perfection preserved in flesh
I yell and beckon yet you cannot hear me
Specters of your beauty haunt my mind
Your pale visage turns away
Finalizing your rejection of my everything
I wait for the sorrow
For pain to grip me in her jaws
But all I feel is nothing
Because i really always knew
That you were just a tantalizing phantom
To be admired, but never possessed.
