Forever friends?

Forever friends!
Is what we used to call, through open heart and loving soul,
but times have changed, and our smiles have fallen
as we each choose a path; all destined to fall.
How many times have i wished i could hear those laughs
or see those smiles of the past?
Each time knowing I'm one more step closer to the dark
Alone and angry i curse through the gathering darkness
knowing nothing will happen, nothing will change
because you've made your decision and iv made mine.
