A Young Man

by Aaron Deevers   Aug 18, 2007

Let me tell you a story

This story about a young man
A young man whose life was torn
Torn from a lost of a father
To a lose of a mother

A young man who had no home
A home to go to when it stormed
A home of wood and nails
Just a box that he called home

A young man who made
Made the best of what he had
He went to school each day
Learning new things and ways

A young man who became a leader
A leader of a new world
A world for those who were lost
Lost ones who needed a home

A young man who was know as a father
A father to all children who were lost
Lost with no father
Nor mother
He was their father

A young man who became an old man
An old man who never faltered
Gave his best to help those children
Taught them what he knew best

A young man who was an old man
Old but still young at heart
Giving to needy children
Children all around the world

This is the end to a young man’s journey
A journey of hard times
Yet good ones at that
Giving those in need a helping hand
Giving them shelter and knowledge
Giving them love as he never got
