Goodbye old friend

Here is a poem I have wrote about truth, trust, love, friendship, betrayal and sacrifice. To truly understand the poem you would have to know the story but I hope it touches your heart for i shed a tear writing it.

I thought we were friends, but that wasn't true,
I thought you knew me, but you had no clue,
You question my loyalty, but where was yours,
If you had trusted me, we wouldn't be here,
You blame me for whats happened, so i put up my hand,
But look at the truth, its because of you where we stand,
I feel so bad, so guilty and mad,
I admit i betrayed you,
But for the reasons I'm glad,

You knew something was wrong, but misunderstood,
You should have trusted me with her, I would have only done good,
It wasn't the plan, to take her from you,
My true intentions to strengthen the group,
You were all i needed, her and you,
But you pushed me to her, don't say its not true,
Now both of us are to blame, for our friendship in flames,
You cannot imagine the pain Ive been through,
The sadness the misery of having to walk away from you,
I wished i felt different but i have to be true,
I'm now only sorry for feeling nothing for you.

I hope this isn't the end, I hope you will change and I. I hope once again we will stand side by side, stronger than ever.
But if this is the end, then farewell old friend, I will forever hold on to our memories.
