Funeral

I stand solemnly at this sad funeral
The young girl lays dead in the coffin
Her black hair lays sprawled out
Her eyes closed shut; and body lay motionless
Her once happy face now has no smile
She is wearing a white dress with red roses all around her
Her family all cry for her
Her boyfriend is bawling at the base of the coffin; his muffled crieds echo in the church
I look outside at the rainy sky
It is gray, wet, and cold
I look at thge banner
It shows her name and age
All her friends and family sigh and say, "what a shame"
Sadness and pity are all the emotions flowing in this church
Peoples' faces are stained with tears
Her mother cries and asks, " why did this happen?"
Her coffin is a dark cherry reddish black color
It gleams in the light
The skies cry for her
Suddenly, tears fall from my eyes
My heart aches for her
Reality hit me
... I realized, I was her...
