Thought we were Best Friends for Life!!!

We always said we were Best Friends For Life.
We shared crazy and fun moments together.
Moments that I can never forget, even if I tried.

We confided in each other.
We even talked smack about other people.
We had an unbreakable bond,
or so I thought.

Eighth grade graduation came,
and we celebrated together.
We cried tears, tears of joy,
for we were starting another phase of our life.

High school was about to start,
and we had many plans for the years to come.
We spent our last summer days together,
hoping it would never end.

Freshmen year... new friends, new loves.
Apparently not including me.
Our friendship started to slip,
and none of us noticed.

Then suddenly you changed.
Your personality, your looks,
and all because you wanted to be popular.

I saw you in the halls,
but to you it was like I didn't exist.
I tried to talk to you, but you ignored me.
It was like our friendship had never existed.

Now, 2 years later,
I look at the pictures of us together.
The ones where we are both smiling,
like nothing else matters except you and me.
And the crazy ones,
where we had too much sugar.
I miss those moments we had together.

Don't worry though...
I don't plan on ruining your life like you ruined mine!
