The Precipice

THE PRECIPICE

Loneliness and madness go hand in hand
Here on the precipice is where we stand
should we stay, or should we fall
Can't we live, and show them all

Maybe I'm just young and dumb
But still I think our time will come
There has to be someone there for me
A girl who's kind, caring and sweet

Am I just not looking hard enough
Should I just stop searching, just give up
Maybe she's already there in front of me
Maybe I'm just too blind to see

Has she really been there all this time
Patiently waiting for me to decide
Staring longingly into her beautiful face
I smile, and fall into her embrace

As I touch you, I fall right through
I wonder if I always knew
You were never really there
I guess there's no one that really cares
