The Beauties of The Bagallah

by Marly   Aug 30, 2007

The red dust flew up behind the car
As I drove along the gravel road
I see the water flowing from the Bagallah
As I stared out from my window

The air fills my lungs with scents
Of the fresh pollen on the wattle trees
My hair cascades down my back
As I face the warm summer breeze

The rivers water cool on my skin
Giving me a chill down my spine
The beauty of this summers day
Is not some one elses but mine

Swimming in the clear water
So deep I cant touch the bottom
My hair flowing as I dive under
The problems of life forgotten

I splash the water with pure delight
As the drops make patterns as they fall
The sounds of the birds come alive
As they sit in the trees so tall

I lie on my back absorbing the light
As the sun warms the skin on my face
A sudden contentment comes over me
Feeling filled with beauty and grace

As the sun draws down behind the hills
I grab my towel and begin to walk away
I turn to see the beauties of The Bagallah
Shall be enjoyed again another day
