Never Talked Much Anyway

We never talked it through

There was nothing much to say

About life and love and faith

- Better things to do anyway

We have watched the sun come up

And felt the silence fade

Hours passed, we stayed and laughed

At the music that we played

We traced the lines on our faces

Until we knew them all by heart

We said this life will never end

And everything's a start

We drove for hours going nowhere

Until the car broke down

We left it there, forgot the keys

And hid till we where found

We spent our time and our money

Staying out all night

And we fell out of touch once or twice

But took the time to make it right

We laughed and cried in early hours

And planned the days to come

We carefully choose each step we'd take

But none of it got done

...now we've lost the moments

And the memories start to fade

No one got around to calling

...I mean, we never talked much anyway
