My road

by Kathryn McNeil   Sep 3, 2007

The road goes ever on again.
Before my feet, it does not end.
The place where i had just once been
is now nowhere to be seen.
I see no start, I see no end
around this ever-winding bend.
I see the people pass me by
as if I'm looking from the sky.
I don't belong. I never have.
I'm once more on my winding path.
Dram me back into my books.
So the world is gone at which I look.
The road goes ever on again,
But when I read I see the end.
