Be easy on me

Give me strength for I am big hearted.
I'm fragile, weak, and feeling departed.
These eyes are dry, and I am tired.
I'm ready to fulfill my greatest desire.
Thanks to you I am stronger now.
I've picked myself up, and let you down.
I can finally breathe, and the air smells so sweet.
Now all I need is someone who really loves me.

**About this poem: I used to be very light hearted, by which I mean, I always took things to heart. This lead me to heartach most of the time. I've learned, to not do this as much mainly from past relationships. **

    Really nice poem, it doesn't really deserve to be in the sad poems section. To me it seems more a poem written about a triumph in the face of adversity. Conquering that which stands in your way. Almost definitely an upbeat poem in my eyes. If it was the other way around, getting beaten whenever you try to rise above then 100% sad.

    I really like this poem and although the rhyming structure seemed to falter a little it was still a very enjoyable read.

    If anything i would have loved to hear more of what became of you. That could however just be my greedy side, wanting more of something I like.
