A list of my promises

I know that you know
how many promises i hold
and just to refresh your memory
here's a list of what i told:

i promise not to lie
even if it is white;
i promise to love you
from morning 'til night;

i promise not to make you cry
and instead,i will make you smile;
i promise to always care
even if it takes an extra mile;

i promise to buy you a dog
as a birthday gift;
i promise not to make you mad
so your feelings for me wouldn't drift;

i promise to be sweet
everytime you are near;
i promise to be courageous
everytime you fear;

i promise to protect you
from all kinds of harm;
i promise to comfort you,
to make you feel cozy and warm;

i promise to always be there
everytime you need me;
and i promise never to leave you
even if death takes me..
