My Circle of Life

My mind is swirling
My heart is pounding
My breath is shaky
The world is blurry
I feel the pain, I feel the guilt
I feel the hate, I feel the blade
I see the blood, I feel the cut
I see the cut and feel the blood
My mind is clear
My heart is steady
My breath is calm
The world is focused
No more guilt and no more hate
No more anger and no more pain
Nothing left but an empty shell
I spend my day the normal way
Taking each blow
As I go
But soon the clear becomes a blur
And the itch begins to grow
The anger bubbles in my soul
The guilt the hate
The pain so unbearable
Until I get the blade
My friend my saviour
My escape
My circle of life.
