The Reign of the Autumn King [Trijan Refrain]

by Twisted Heart   Sep 10, 2007

Upon the eve of Autumn's kiss
I look upon the earth
A failing in the weathered bliss
Resounds the season's birth
Against the sky I feel the breeze
It blows the limbs and lifts the leaves
Against the sky
Against the sky
Sweet summer nestles down to sleep.

The Autumn king leads the parade
A grand marquee he bears
Inside his robes a quaint cascade
Of reds and browns he wears
He marches in the month with stance
As Pixies skip and Fairies dance
He marches in
He marches in
With cool winds blowing from his hands.

Now comes the King of Autumn's reign
A mist of falling dew
He spreads the earth with colored leaves
In every shade and hue
He takes his place upon the throne
Three months of Fall, he'll rule alone
He takes his place
He takes his place
As cools winds chill me to the bone.
