Confetti Sunshine

Confetti Sunshine

warmth is felt when laughter spills out
love deep down making itself known
showers of pain interspersed throughout

joy he brings
in waves of tides
sometimes carrying confetti sunshine

one piece sprinkled
a whole day lit
one piece dropped, darkness descends

so much power in two small hands
one drop
will choose the mood

serendipity plays another trick
divine intervention shows it's hand
fate takes a coffee break

rough cut edges, yellow toned hue
you see your reflection staring back
confetti sunshine is what you view

one piece sprinkled
smiles fill the room
one piece dropped
down descends doom

confetti sunshine
is something of worth
confetti sunshine
rules the earth
