Intoxication wearing off,
Assume that you're alone,
Your chest is heaving, (heavy cough,)
A dark, disturbing tone.

Poison seeps into your veins,
(Involuntary breath,)
Silver needled named Disdain,
Segmented laws of death.

There's a numbness in your arm,
Thoughts racing in your head,
(Suspenseful music,) sadist's charm,
Drown your heart in dread.

(Gunshots) echo through the night,
Flames descend to blackness,
You feel the chains, the urge to fight,
Have courage... no, you lack this.

Murder has been set in motion,
Your gut begins to churn,
Crushed beneath the endless notion
That (poof) you won't return.

Death decides its final path,
Fate has picked its course,
(Tick tock, tick tock,) time's sweet wrath,
But is your will a stronger force?

Your heart decides it shall not die,
It (pump-pump, pump-pump's) away,
Your voice yells out a proud defy,
"I'll die another day!"

Escape seems pure and easy,
Its simple, said and done,
You break free, your gut still queasy,
You (sigh) and start to run.

Midnight chimes throughout the den,
Death comes another way,
A blade, your throat, you (gasp) and then...
You've died another day.
