Honestly

It really seemed for a while as if
you might actually want to give this another try
but same as everything else does with you
this turned out to be another damned lie

You have proven to me once again
that in all honesty you just don't care
so next time you might need me around
don't just assume that I'm going to be there

No matter what, I'd always try
to do what would make you most happy
but you never noticed my efforts
and constantly made me feel pretty crappy

All I'd like is a simple 'thank you',
maybe just a small token of appreciation
but I guess that's too much to ask
even after I took your every desire into consideration

And at first you most likely won't believe
that this time with you I seriously am through
because you never took the time to see
that unlike you, to my word I do stay true.
