Dearest Friend

by Terra   May 2, 2004

I wrote this poem for a friend of mine that is having a really hard time with life right now that is why it is in this category.

Dearest friend,

Please don't go,
What's out there no one knows.
The razor blade is not your friend,
It will just show you a bitter end.

Life may kick you while your down,
Or sneak up and hit you without a sound.
Don't give up and let the fight end,
For I will be here to help you win.

It may beat you down till you're ready to throw the towel in,
But you must get up and not give in.
Death may seem to call out to you,
To give up and just be through.

You mustn't take the selfish way out,
Life could be worse with out a doubt.
Don't play with Death for it is not nice,
It will catch you in it's deadly vice.

I will be here to help you through,
If you should fall I will catch you.
As I end this poem and leave it here,
Hold these words of wisdom always near. . .

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. Don't forget about those who love you.
