Goals

*i made this for school when we had to write a poem about goals

when i grow up i want to be a doctor and feed the poor
live on the beach or by the shore
go to college and learn a lot
buy a boat or a yacht

when i grow up I'd like to write
and take an around the world flight
i want to be on an Olympic swim team
to have a big family would be my dream

I'm not grown up, but I know what I want
like to live in a house with an ocean front
to accomplish my goals will take some time
but I'll walk down a path that is only mine

instead of being a hibernated bear and sleep
i will be a worker bee and not complain or weep
i wont ever start a goal i don't intend on finishing
because dreaming is more than wishing

so don't ever follow the paths of your friends
and don't get confused no matter how much it turns and bends
just remember where you need to go
(life is a soccer game full of goals)

so don't give up until your place is sought
don't give up until the battle is fought
don't let go until you get what you want
so when you think you are done making up goals
you cant just finish and run out the door
you have to lay down and dream some more
