Womb

by Dan Doyle   Sep 18, 2007

The shadows, they own
Not only my soul
But my thoughts, my will
My being...alone.

Run! Run! Where can I hide?
Anywhere! Oh please!
The shadows, excruciatingly black
Lurch, crawl.... seek.

There! In that sweet woman's embrace
The shadows will not find me
Can not find me
It is the only place

As I look around, the loving womb
I recognize, and I cry
I notice for the first time,
All my friends in the room.
