Gasping for a breath of fresh air in this land of hopelessness and decay.
Searching for a sign to move on as I try to find my way.
Love lost, memories fading...
Promises that held me up now disintegrating.
Salvation only a whisper, still begging on my knees.
Forever shed of tears...the image of what used to be.
You left me here abandoned because of the selfishness inside.
Thinking the truth you bore would always be able to hide.
But the rain exposed no rainbow, not a single glimmer of colored light.
Good never conquered evil; it once again lost the fight.
I see your image from a distance...but it's only an illusion.

Go ahead and laugh when you see what's left of me slowly burn to embers.
Forgetting the time you held me and promised me forever.

When I needed you, you ran; when sad only made it worse.
