This Girls Life

by Dustin Hartzell   Sep 19, 2007

This girls life ended long ago,
Ever since then shes been waiting,
Looking for the one to love her so,
Noones come, shes never crying,

Nobody ever seen her,
They looked right on through,
She told herself,
Hed come around soon,

A tear rolls down her face,
Shes got a look that kills,
Mouths got a funny taste,
From popping all those pills,

Hiding under the bed,
From when dad gets home,
Remembering what he said,
The anger in his tone,

Come and take her away,
She begs to her god,
Doesnt deserve to feel this pain,
If only just a nod,

Why was she born into this life,
And made to endure all this pain,
Trained to believe her only friends a knife,
The feeling drives me insane,

All I ask is why,
It has to be this way,
Her life is one big lie,
Has only the future to pay,

This is This Girls Life,

Another day rolls in,
Shes all by herself,
Boy comes up, wants to be her friend,
Hes kinda lonely himself,

Turned out to be great friends,
Decide to go on their first date,
He actually listens to what she says,
Maybe their relationship is fate,

Takes her home for the night,
Gives her a kiss on the cheek,
Brightens her soul and her life,
Calls back in less than a week,

A month goes by,
They have fallen in love,
He hasnt made her cry,
She just cant get enough,

Its several years later,
They have two kids,
She thinks about her life,
And how she got this,

Turns out all she needed,
Was a little bit of time,
She got everything she wanted,
Everything turned out fine,

This is This Girls Life.
