Since her daddy went away

by Amberinaa   Sep 21, 2007

Sparkling eyes, cover in glaze
looking out the window; lost in a daze
Pain keeps falling, like tears from her eyes
As another solider is wounded, or dies.

Her eyes look like glass, and so very cold
If only she had her daddy to hold.
Drying her eyes, she paints on a face
But nothing will ever take his place

Another day comes, as another one goes
will her daddy come home? know body knows.
Looking out the window; watching the rain
as tears slowly fall, and releases her pain.

She turns on the news; another attack
then the phone rings, her dad's coming back
The rain never stops, it flood from her eyes
her dad was among the soldiers that died.

Forever and ever, the pain is there to stay
nothing will be the same, since her daddy went away.
