Restless

by Indian Comma Bean   Sep 22, 2007

My mind is desolate,
I'm all but corrupted.
The heartache,
The torment.

It all lingers...

My thoughts detained
In a shroud of confusion.
Destiny has forgotten me..

For love is myth,
Trust is for the weak,
A bond is again
Just a broken memory.

The pain all lingers...

Voices are heard
When no one is near,
Your spirit is all the warmth I have.

-But then again,
I am yet another
shadow in the world
in which we dwell.

The fear all lingers...

I am the story that
has lost all truth,
retold countlessly and now I am lost...

The torment all lingers...

I am on an endless road,
my endurance is tested.
My actions and hope
will keep me going.

For I am alone, destined for loneliness,
Love has walked over me
Hate has knocked me down.

I hide many things,
I hide most truth,
I take out anger
on all undeserving.

But I laugh, and I seek just
one person to expose,
The real me...

My soul yet lingers...
