Seclusion

by Indian Comma Bean   Sep 22, 2007

Everyone's happy
they're having a blast,
talking and bragging
it all goes so fast.

Heads are turning
and everyones talking,
but you just stand there,
all but smiling.

You get the feeling
that they're talking about you,
that they don't want you there
like your out of the group.

They don't even glance,
but tensions in the air,
you know that it's true,
and it feels so sad.

You can't stand the fact,
that your friends would
deny you, seclude you,
it feels so wrong.

So you sit there and wait,
as a feeling sits in,
self-pity arises and you
try not to show it.

You want to go home
but your feet won't budge,
your stuck in a cage,
but there are no bars.

You try to speak up,
you let out a scream,
but nothing comes out,
and no one is listening.

Not everyone's happy
and you feel so alone,
your soul is weeping,
but it all goes so fast.

Oh how cruel life can be...
