Smiles of Trees

by kira2   Sep 23, 2007

Lying still under the oak
In the woods, you and I
Love so pure, so strong
Indescribable, though, I try

We talk for hours
Comfortable in our skin
We dream of the future
In awe of the love within

We compare pictures in the clouds
Happy in this childlike state
Then we lay silent
Quietly wondering what is our fate

Hours go bye, a chill in the air
The clouds darken and stir up a breeze
The day almost over sadness sets in
Then looking up we discover the smiles of trees
