Seven Deadly Sins

Lust:
I can't give you up. I can't stop thinking of you
I can't look others in the eye, if they only knew
That it's you that I want to touch and to hold
Your body wrapped around me when I'm cold

Envy:
Every moment I burn in my desire
Every thought of you sets me on fire
I can't believe you're there and not here
Tonight I'll sit alone and disappear

Gluttony:
You are where you belong, but I want you to be mine
Tonight I'll just settle for a bottle of wine
I allow the luxury of drinking too much
I allow the luxury of thinking too much

Wrath:
The wine causes the past to come back in a flood
The pain, crushing, the bruises and blood
I'll forever hate, never forget
Even though he is no longer a threat

Greed:
I know wanting you is wrong, but I do indeed
I'm full of passion, and yes greed
I know I said I'll take what I can get
But it's not enough, I'm afraid to admit

Sloth:
I sit alone by the fire, when I should be writing
Lazy I feel, but my thoughts are so exciting
I sleep till dawn then go to bed
I need to sleep off the pain in my head

Pride:
I want to tell you all that I feel
But I'm scared to death, not completely healed
If you don't find me perfect as I so try to be
You may decide that you don't want me
