Starlight Fly

The moon is high
the night is silent
Except for the waves lapping uopn the shore
I take a deep breath
of the salty sweet air
and gaze at the glistening waters
Suddenly the waters stir
the drops rise glittering into the air
As I stand in shock
I see a strand of shining white hair
Up he came
Rising to the sands
Shaking his silky mane
His eyes are blue
A deep watery aqua
His coat is white
white as freshly falllen snow
His eyes met mine
and he lets out a ghostly neigh
and up I climb
onto his gently curved back
And grip onto his silver mane
And magically
like gliding
he dances through the sea
and he lifts into the night air
His wings beating
And we soar off into the starry night sky
My pegasus and I
