Broken Angel part 4

by Poes Raven   Sep 28, 2007

We stood outside the building just staring at the people walking by. They had no idea the torment I was feeling. In one day I had met the love of my life and now I was about to let her go. She sat down on the steps leading up to the building and gestured for me to join her. Sitting there we took in the city and all its sounds. Her perfume danced around me as the breeze gently blew by. I thought for something to say. Some magic phrase that would keep us together like this forever. I stared at her face as she looked on. The sun illuminated her skin leaving me in wonder. She turned and caught me staring at her and smiled. But then that smile slowly faded. She looked back at the building and sighed. It was as if that building was a door to hell itself and she had no choice but to go threw it. I searched for something to say as she stood. Rising to my feet I stepped to her. "I know this is sudden but, maybe I could call you sometime?" she looked at me then up at the building in sadness.
