Broken Angel Part 5

Taking a deep breath she explained that this was not her home, but a friends. Fighting back anger she told me how her parents had kicked her out some time ago and that she moved from one friend to another. There was no number for me to call. I was afraid she could hear my heart as it broke. I Refused to let her just walk out of my life. Not when I had spent it looking for her. "then let me give you my number" I quickly said. She was a bit taken back at my suggestion. "you can call me anytime. Even if you just want someone to talk to" she stared at me with confusion as she asked me why? Why was I being so nice to her? I looked her in the eyes and focused deep into her soul. "because I care" I said softly. I watched as those hurt eyes softened and she fought back a tear. She bit her lower lip and nodded. I quicky dug in my bag and pulled out a marker and gently taking her hand I began to write my number acrossed her wrist. Writing over every fresh scar
