Broken Angel part 8

by Poes Raven   Sep 28, 2007

The emotions that churned inside as I read the letter where overwhelming. Sorrow, anger, horror, relief. I crumpled up the paper in my hand and shoved it in my pocket. The questions came at me one after the other. What if I had not seen her? What if our hands had not brushed? What if I had said nothing? I took one last look at the building and saw her watching me thru a window. Our eyes locked gazes and time stood still. She was looking to see if I would run. If she had scared me away. Her eyes begged me to leave now if I was going to do so. She did not want to be hurt anymore. I smiled and held up my arm and pointed to my wrist. She smiled and did the same pointing to my number. I nodded and waved goodbye. Walking home, her smile was all I could think about. Her voice. Her hair. All I wanted was to be around her. To take in her essence. When I arrived home The first thing I did was check for messages, there was none. Thats okay I thought. Its to soon anyway. I could wait.
