Misery's Business. [The Aftermath]

by hippiehxc   Sep 30, 2007

Broken wings and shattered hearts cover the floor.
The blood has dries up long ago.
These battles have left her disheveled beyond recognition.
Your song plays on and on and he's nowhere to be found.
The inscription on the wall reads:
"GA+JR=Forever"
The word "remember" has been etched in along with it,
She never thought she's be counting the steps until her version of eternity begins.
But anything is better than this.
He had the words, "I Promise." engraved on that ring.
It was never meant to sit in it's box until forever comes.
It was your job to put it on her hand.
You never got the chance.
Now she can't even bear the thought.
It wasn't supposed to end this way.
She was never destined to be alone.
Those crystal clear green eyes were never supposed to cry rivers.
You promised her that you'd be there always and forever.
What happened?
I guess you just got wrapped up in everything else.
It's a shame to see love that strong go to waste.
She still wakes up every morning crying and screaming out to no one.
Cursing God for the pain she's been facing since last December.
You came back once.
Why didn't you stay?
I guess the answer is nothing more than Misery's Business.
