Why she cuts

Slice by slice
It helps the pain
It helps to forget
To stop the rain

It's easier to handle
Than focusing on a broken heart
It scares other people so bad
But for the person doing it, it just helps set her and him apart

They don't mean to scare you
They just want some peace
In their own mind
To make the scars on their heart release

They don't like it
But its manageable to them
They feel like they need a reason to cry
Instead of on a whim

It hurts them worse than it does you
It's their heart they are covering up
Not yours
All the tears they have shed could easily fill a cup

    who see's them, they still get scared away.
