My Last Choice

by Bryan   Oct 4, 2007

The moonlight shines upon your face,
Like mirrors these tear fall from my eyes,
Your hazel eyes tear a whole in my heart,
I breakdown as my broken heart dies.

I'm dying slowly, my soul tis weak,
I cant breathe, I'm etched by pain,
Your wedding band frozen in time,
And this love I feel can't be explained.

Like a wave, horrid visions consume me,
Goodbyes as I take my bags to the bus,
Riding the greyhound to cheap motels,
Stranger's eyes come between us.

I order a whiskey and rye, bartenders pick,
On a rebound with a blue eyed girl full of deceit,
Walking to the room, evil biddings we will do,
Sweet ecstasy tonight under these sheets.

The morning comes, bringing back her memory,
I call the answering machine, I hear your voice,
Then silence rings, as the phone hits the floor,
At the road I see the bus stop, my last choice.

Old one I found, thanx Jenna!!!

Holy man, I totally remember this ! Hahaa, I love this poem. It was very well written considering you had major writers block and all that you were going through at the time. But, a talented writer such as yourself always overcomes the obstacles. Great job. :]
