Why does life
Have to end in death
When all along
People protest
Against the evil spirit
That lurks in everyone
People say that death is natural
Many say that death is necessary
Some people even say
That death is brought on by the person
And this is what they deserve
Yet when it is their loved ones dying
They shout and scream as loud as they can
Saying that it is unfair
Everyone mourns the silent passing
Of one person
As if time has stopped
For that sad day
When everyone gathers
And the person is layer to rest
In peace and silence
Away from the rest of the world
The dead
Is how they are referred to now
People gradually forget
The pain gradually disperses
And the person
Is gone forever
Where do the dead go
Lying in that ditch
Dark and silent
Are they aware
Of where they are
Or have they moved on
Into a better place
What is the point in dying
When all it really does
Is cause pain and misery
The dead are laid to rest
While everyone mourns their passing
Some show emotion
Others get angry
And some bottle it all up
And forget about their feelings
They dwell on their memories
And cry in their sleep
They have nightmares
And they retreat into their shell
Never to be seen again
So my question to God is
What is the point of death
If all it does is cause pain and misery
Is it to prove he has power
Is it to prove he has control
Or is it something he has no control over
Is there even a God at all
That is my question
