I Sleep The Day Away For Nights Like These

by Josh Hopper   Oct 8, 2007

Make it, more to me than usual,
keep me from becoming emotional,
smother my snickers with a pillow,
tickling me as I kick uncontrollably.

Tick Tock, Nights going by so fast,
I'd love our sleepover to last,
your window's so much less a challenge,
less is more now's what it comes to.

How long have we been laughing?
I don't even want to look at the time,
it's so great that this moment is mine.
Depends now on what I'm up against.

Turn the volume on the TV down,
laying with you until it's dawn,
then I'll leave, climb the tree,
over the fence and on my way.

I've faced the facts, I want it back,
a minute away is to far gone,
it's times like these we call a past.
I'm at home asleep, your on the phone.
